Would you correct my English? ( May 17 )

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them?

No. 1

M: May I help you? You can try on any of the clothes.

F: OK. I'll try this on...this fits me perfectly.

M: You look great.

F: I'll take it but would you have lay away?

No. 2

M:I think there's a [ some ] mistake in the check.

F:Sorry, what do you mean?

M:We sure ordered cheeze pizza, but you didn't serve.

F:Oh, really? I'll have the check put right.

Thank you! kenta

'Dress material' refers to fabric only in all the major Englishes. Please use your dictionary and other resource materials before you answer students here, Sri. You will find that many words uses are acceptable-- indeed, understandable-- only in Indian English.

I have noted the contents of your comment with great pleasure, and fully sati

By the way, how old do you think I am?

Well, Thanks for your clarification.

Over several decades, the language has acquired a unique flavour of its own in the country. People like to call it "Indian English"; sometimes proudly and sometimes derisively. Indian English is of course not a different language. Nor, does it require a separate standard or dictionary.

Aside from the question, I just have a comment on the "layaway". I also thought the "layaway" was done with some years ago.
