Would you correct my English? ( July 21 )

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Will you correct them?

No. 1

M: I'd like to go to City Hall. How long will it take to get there?

F: About 40 minutes. If you're in a hurry, you had better take a taxi.

M: Maybe I ought to do so. Thanks a lot.

No. 2

M: Heavy rain caused a mudslide near my house.

F: Oh, was everybody OK?

M: Fortunately, no one was hurt. But in my next town, one person was

found dead. The news called it "guerilla-style torrential rain".

( In Japan the unpredictable torrential rain is called "guerilla-style torrential rain". )

Thank you. kenta

M: I'd like to go to City Hall. How long will it take to get there?

F: About 40 minutes. If you're in a hurry, you had better take a taxi. [40 minutes by what means? Your dialogue requires this to be understood.]

M: Maybe I should/will. Thanks a lot. ["ought to do so" is correct English but not very likely in everyday conversation]
