Would you correct my English? ( Jan.14 )

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them?

No. 1

M: Will you come shopping with me?

( Q. Can't I say "go shopping with me"? )

F: It depends on where you're going. Can I buy some books?
( Q. Can't I say,"Can I buy any books?" here? )

M: Sure. I'm going to the department store behind the station.

No. 2

M: Have you seen today's newspaper?

F: Yes. I put it in the bookcase beside the TV. It's on the far

right on the second shelf from the bottom.

M: I got [ found ] it. Thank you.

( Q. Can't I say "go shopping with me"? ) Yes, you may. "Come with me" and "go with me" are not subject to the same types of restrictions as "bring it with you" and "take it with you."

Sorry, but I can't understand this comment.

I got it is past tense, and not what you mean here, I don't think. But people do say it, meaning present tense "I've got it," which makes no sense at

Yes. My sentence is a mess.

I have it. simple present I now have it in my possession.

I found it. simple past I located it.

I've found it. (I have found it) present perfect I very recently found it.

I got it. simple past I went somewhere and obtained it.
(People often use this as slang to mean "I have it.")
