Would you correct my English? ( Jan. 28 )

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Will you correct them?

No. 1

F: It's good to see you here, Mai. I missed you at the party last night.

M: Sorry, Ken. My dog got sick and I had to take him to the vet

after work. I'll make it up to you one of these days.

No. 2

M: I'm not sure there will be enough for everyone at the party with

this recipe.

F: I agree. Besides, it's difficult to get some of the ingredients.

M: We'd better have second thought, then.

Thank you. kenta

" The phrase is "second thoughts", but it doesn't fit here. " Another thing I noticed is that character "M" is addressed as "Mai", which fits, but character "F" is addressed as "Ken", which doesn't. Just out of curiosity, Kenta, what is the purpose of these dialogues that you write?

This all looks OK to me except: "We'd better have second thought, then." The phrase is "second thoughts", but it doesn't fit here. There are various things you could say; the most obvious that comes to mind is:

"We'd better think of something else, then."

Another thing I noticed is that character "M" is addressed as "Mai", which fits, but character "F" is addressed as "Ken", whi

Thank you, Mr Wordy. I make dialogues for myself, and show them to my firends.

They study English by reading these dialogues.
