Would you correct my English? (Feb.6)

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them?

No. 1

M: Recently, I've been studying every night for my [ the ] exam.

F: I see. You look really tired. Haven't you been short of sleep?

M: Actually, I've been sleeping for only five hours lately.

No. 2

M: Teruko, may I ask you a favor?

F: Sure [ Certainly ]. What's it?

M: Well, I'm having difficulty ( in ) writing my essay.

F: Oh, can you manage to meet the deadline?

Thank you! kenta
