Would you correct my English? (Apr. 13)

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Will you correct them?

No. 1

M: Oh! We're out of gas [ We've run out of gas ]. We can't drive any more [ longer ].

F: Now we'll have to call a tow truck.

M: You needn't [ don't need to ] do it. There must be a gas station around here.

No. 2

M: Hi. I'm home.

F: What happened? How did you get that bump on your forehead?

M: Don't worry. Just bring me some ice.

F: Are you all right? Shall we go to see a doctor?

Thank you. kenta

Number 2 is okay. " would be a more natural comment. Since there may or may not be a gas station near by, but you believe there should be; It might be more natural to say, "You shouldn't have to do that.

Number 2 is okay.

(If we were excited and in a hurry, we'd probably say, "Shall we go to the doctor?," or "Shall we go see the doctor?" There's nothing wrong with your version, and some people might say it that way.)

In number one, at least in the US, "We've run out of gas," is such a well-understood experience that no one is likely to explain, "We can't drive any more."
