Would you correct my English?

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Wil you correct them?

No. 1

M: I was going to bicycle to work this morning. But it began to rain [raining].

F: So did you drive to work [go to work by car] as usual?

M: No, my car wouldn't work, so I ended up using [taking] the [a] bus.

No. 2

F: How much longer will it take to repair my car?

M: Well, we first thought it would take about a week,

but the necessary parts haven't arrived yet.

F: Then can I have a loaner (car) ?

Thank you!
