Would you check these sentences please?

Hi.

The public feels animosity towards him.
The public feels powerful animosity towards him.
The public feels an animosity towards him.
The public feels a powerful animosity towards him.

All four sentences are acceptable, though I think there is probably a better word than "powerful" to describe the strong animosity the public feels. Perhaps "strong" would be better.
