Hello! This is my motivational letter for the International Business programme. Who would be so kind to help me cheking it? I'd appreciate it a lot!

Dear XXX staff,

I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to provide further background informations in support to my application to the International Business Master Programme.

I recently graduated with honors from XXX with a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Cultures, on the XXX. My interest in foreign languages started when I was not more than a child and grew larger and larger when I got old enough to be able to travel through Europe on my own. During my adolescence, I visited many of European countries, at least until my attention got caught by places way further than Europe: Asia and South Korea. I stayed in Korea for over one year and half, where I attended the Korean language course of the most prestigious university in the country, the Yonsei University. I attended the aforementioned course until the 5th level, which stands for C1 in european language certifications.

South Korea gave me the opportunity to enrich my cultural baggage and my knowledge in the International field, making me interacting with people from all over the world everyday. Moreover, I have travelled to lots of different Asian countries, where cultural, geographical and ethnic diversity provided me an unforgettable experience that helped shape me into the person I am today.

The International Business path is my first choice because it offers me the opportunity to be involved in an internationally diverse environment and also the opportunity to get familiar with a field still kind of new to me but that has always drew my attention: business . I have always been fascinated by the business world and the working system of big companies, the entire process of transformation of a simple idea into a new product on the market sounds extremely interesting to me and I have always wanted to take part in the production line of an International company. Another reason that makes me want to study International Business is the global context it acts in, being active on my local community while travelling and exchanging ideas and informations with like-minded people from all over the world, during different projects and gatherings, will make me gain a wide-ranging understanding of modern International business.

The reasons why I have chosen to join the MIB programme of UCSC as opposed to another university are several. First of all, the progressive course structure looks the most appealing to me among the courses other university offer. practical and theoretical experiences go hand-in-hand and both have their own significance. Theoretical experience gives the individual the opportunity to comprehend at the fullest the basic ideas, while practical experience enables them to execute plans and strategies in the most effective way. Nowadays it is not easy to find a good school program which allows to gain experience on the practical level as well, but UCSC strikes the perfect balance between theoretical and practical knowledge.

Another reason I would be glad to join the MIB programme of UCSC is because it offers internships and work placements with leading companies, which is a great first approach to the employment world for a student who is determined to achieve professional and personal success.

Last but not least, I firmly believe that the daily interaction with such multicultural classmates will shape me the best to enter into global job market. By mixing experience, profiles and cultures, students get the opportunity to study in an International environment and discover other way of doing business.

In 10 years, I hope to see myself totally involved in an International environment, improving the business ties between Europe and Asia, especially between Italy and South Korea. My stay in South Korea enabled me to see things with another point of view, catching the differences and similarities between western and asian cultures. I hope I will be able to improve communication not only between these two countries but to open doors to an even more globalised world.

I am confident the MIB programme would help me to enhance my professional as well as personal horizons, adding a great value to my profile and giving a real boost to my career.
