M: Thank you very much, and will you also tell me your show time?

F: We will need [ be needing ] a small conference room, too [ as well ].

Thank you, Clive. I have a question.

Why does "Will you ..." sound strange?

I think either "Will you ..." or "Can you ..." is correct.

Does "Will you..." sound odd in this dialogue?

Thank you!

'Will' is not incorrect grammar. It's just a little more direct than 'can', a little more forceful, and thus a little less polite. 'Can' is more common in a dialogue like this.

Hello, Clive. I didn't know "Will you ..." is often a little more forceful. Thank you very much!
