Would you check my English?

Hello, again. I made two dialogues. Will you correct them?

No. 1

M: Oh, no! I forgot to make a wish.

F: Don't worry. I'll light the candles again. ("I'll just have to light ..." is also OK?)

M: I'm sorry. Everybody [You all] sang a song for me,
and I was so delighted that I failed to make a wish.

No. 2

M: I'm home, Janet.

F: Did you remember to (stop and) pick up the laundry [cleaning] ?
Q. Should I say "stop and"?

M: Yes, but I left it in the [my] car. I'll fetch [go and get] it now.

Thank you!
