Would you answer me about something below?

While watching the movie " The schoo of rock" , I couldn't see what he ,Main actor said to female actress in the underlinded below.
I think I can hear the unclear sound between paid in and cash.

Their conversation goes like this:

Dewey - So how's this gonna work?
- Are you gonna pay me upfront?
Mullins - I don't understand.
Dewey - It'd be really great if I could get paid in cash.
Mullins -- Oh, well, we don't do that.

The word you missed is "now": "...paid now, in cash...".
