Would vs will have pp

i'd like to ask some questions about 'would' and 'will have pp'.

I know that 'would' and 'will have pp' is used for past's prediction.

But I don't now what is different between 'would and 'will have pp'.

for example) StartFragment>

He would be about twenty, when he met her.

He will have been about twenty, when he met her.

which sentence is more usual?

And when is 'will have pp' used?
