Would vs. past

My wedding party is tomorrow. I would be grateful if you came.

vs.

My wedding party is tomorrow. I would be grateful if you would come.

I have been always confused about whether to use ‘if+subject+would...’ or ‘if+ subject +past tense’ in second conditional. Can they always be replaceable to each other or when can I use both and when can I use just ‘if+subject+past’ and when can I just use just ‘if + subject+ would’. Some body please help me. I would be grateful.

Try this for now. com/dictionary/would%20appreciate%20it I'll look for some good reference. There isn't much out there and it's complicated.
