'would' usage

I am confused again! Are any of these wrong? (Here, 'made it'= survived)

  1. I would be the only one among them who could not have made it.
  2. I would be the only one among them who would not have made it.
  3. I would be the only one among them who would not make it.

BulbulTada I would be the only one among them who would not make it. ~ It turned out as events unfolded that I was (going) to be the only one among them who was not going to make it (and I didn't make it). This is the only one of your three examples that I can make sense of in any definite way.

  • BulbulTada I would be the only one among them who would not make it.
  • ~ It turned out as events unfolded that I was (going) to be the only one among them who was not going to make it (and I didn't make it).
  • This is the only one of your three examples that I can make sense of in any definite way.
  • And though it makes sense grammatically, it's quite strange because it can only be written by someone who is dead.
  • It would make more sense if the subject were not "I".
