Would // to express an uncertainty or to make a statement less direct?
Hi,
I read that "would" can be used to make a statement or question less direct or to express an uncertainty. Is that the case in these two sentences below?
1. You would actually be punishing him because he left you once.
2. I'm afraid you'd be wasting you time. I'm not the type of woman you'd be interested in.
I Thanks in advance!
