Would the following be suitable questions and answers?

Hi teachers,
This is for a listening comprehension exercise. The text is from a CD. (The Elephant Man)
Context:
The second room had a bed, table, and chairs. I visited him every day, and talked to him. He loved reading, and talking about books.

Assuming that we know that 'I' is 'the doctor', and him 'Merrick' would the following be suitable questions and answers?
1. What was there in the second room? (There was) a bed, table, and chairs.
2. What did the doctor do daily? He visited him and talked to him.
3. Did Merrick care much about books? Yes, he did.
