The boughs of an old aging willow were embracing the rooftop, almost with a motherly instinct, as if to protect it from the elements of age and time.
Upon closer inspection, Joshua noticed how the years of neglect had taken their toll on the small wooden structure. Although the steeple remained intact, the shingles were in disarray; some clinging to the rooftop for dear life, others carpeted the grass around him.
