Essay & Composition Writing

Would someone help me correct my Ielts writng task2? Thank you

Different subjects are taught at school to provide students a wide range of knowledge, which means all of them are necessary and essential to be learned. Therefore, I firmly disagree that Science and Technology are superior to History, despite the fact that others hold an opposing view.

One reason which proponents of Science and Technology believe that HIstory is less important than them is to make people’s lives more advanced and convenient. Almost everything which people use in daily life is applied from Science and Technology, like the Internet, mobile phone and computer, and help people cope with anything in a handy way. Another factor might be that those who have qualifications in science and technology find jobs easily because lots of jobs are related to these fields. And, their payment is relatively higher than others. They are the reasons why some people regard Science and Technology as more important.

Conversely, people believe that history is important as well as other subjects since history can teach people the origin of their culture and to learn from the past. History is a record of people’s life in the past, which can help people acknowledge how their values are built in culture and reinforce the identity of the nation. This is why history is a compulsory subject from primary school to senior high school. Furthermore, the importance of studying history is to cultivate a broader sense to consider better options depending on the overall context. Human society can not be understood simply through analyzing statistical data; however, people can think about any possible experience from history to get improvements.

In conclusion, although some people advocate that Science and Technology are more essential than History, I strongly agree that History is valuable as well as other subjects.
