Q: "The best way to learn a foreign language is by studying in a foreign country." Do you agree?

Some people believe that studying in a foreign country is the best way to learn a foreign language. Personally, I agree with this point of view.

To begin with, students who study in a foreign country can practise speaking everyday. That is, they need to commuinicate to get what they want. They have to do things, such as buy food, find accommodation and make travel arrangement. Besides, students can pick up how the local speak. Being exposed to the language environment, students can getting familar with the tones and the common expressions. By imitating how the locals speak, they can learn the language more quick. Furthermore, by staying in a foreign country, students can make friends with the local people and learn about the culture. If they are interested in the local culture, they may have more motivation to learn the language.

However, there are many other ways to learn a second language, such as attending foreign language classes, reading books and watching foreign language programs. Although they are not as effective as going abroad, students can still benefit from these methods.

In conclusion, among all the methods of learning a foreihn language, I think the best way is studying in the country where the language is spoken. By doing so, students have more chances to communicate, to practise the language in real situations and improve their levels dramatically.
