'Would rather' question

Hello,
I was wondering which one would be correct grammatically:

"Would you rather one person were in charge of the task?"
"Would you rather one person would be in charge of the task?"
"Would you rather one person be in charge of the task?"

Thanks.

"Thanks. You will hear all three. In my dialect, the second is not so good.

  • "Thanks.
  • You will hear all three.
  • In my dialect, the second is not so good.
  • The first is for when more than one person is already in charge.
  • The third is for when we are trying to decide how many people we want to be in charge.

Actually the first sentence should be:

"Would you rather one person was in charge of the task?"

As another example, would you please tell me the difference between?

"Would you rather me be here?"
"Would you rather me was/were(?) here?"
