Would rather

Could you clarify a few things about - WOULD RATHER
1) Is it ok to use 2 gerunds here?
I would rather going there than staying here. (going - staying?) OK?
2) Is it ok to mix gerund with a verb
I would rather going there than stay here.
I would rather doing things myself rather than be dependent on someone else.
3) Is it ok to use RATHER THAN instead of THAN
I would rather doing things myself rather than be dependent on someone else (or should it be just .......things myself than be dependent .........)
Thanks

In short, only the plain/bare infinitive is possible: I would rather go there than stay here. If another person is involved, the preterite is used: I would rather you went there. CB

thank you indeed. And what about this construction with PERFECT INFINITIVE?

I would rather have done it than gone there.

Is it a normal construction or obsolete?

If it is at all possible in English to say what a person would have preferred to do in the past, I don't see any other alternative after would rather.
