Would or will

Hi, Let us pretend that I am speaking to a group about my previous experience in camp here. I think the use of "would" is correct but I think I have heard some people use the modal "will".

Last time I was here, the park ranger will (would??) come by our tent every night and will (would??) ask us some questions about safety.
