Would like + have + pp That is not an English structure to my mind, Rashin. Would you like to offer us a sample sentence? And by the way, 'pp' is not a good abbreviation, because it could mean present participle or past participle or prepositional phrase.

Hi,dear friend

sorry for bad abbreviation.By p.p i mean past participle.

Actually i heard it in an educational programm :

I would like to have made a good start on my career.

could you plz elaborate this? I don't know exactly in what intent should use this.

Cheers!

Oh, you mean Would like + to have + pp

This is another form of Would have liked to + infinitive or sometimes even Would have liked to have + pp. Only the last one is sometimes considered wrong. They are all referring to a past act that you wish you had done but did not do.

Thanks for your swift reply.

Can we use this structure for future plans?
Consider this:I'd like to have made good start on my career by then.

I mean, is this interchanable with perfect future tense?
