Would like for UK

in UK English people use the verb 'shall', don't they?
so, how do they say phrase ' I would like to do that' ? (without shortening 'd)

I should like to do that, is that okay?

Top answer

It is perfectly correct to say either "I would like to do that" or "I should like to do that". It is much more common to hear someone say "would" in this case, "should" sounds more old-fashioned.
