Would it kill you...

Hi,

I am not sure if the following sentence will be considered as insulting. For example, can I say it to a collegue or a student without creating any unpleasent feelings?

Would it kill you to do a little research and check a couple of stalls?

Thanks,

MG.

Oh, yeah, that's insulting all right! Translation: You are so lazy you act as though any work at all will kill you. Or: You're so incompetent that I wonder if doing something right would kill you.

Hi,
