Would it be acceptable for one to say "Long live man!" (no 'the' before 'man')?

Would it be acceptable for one to say "Long live man!" (no 'the' before 'man')? For example, When Jayvee saw his friend Tony, he said "Long live man!"

What meaning did you have in mind?
"Long live man!" would mean "May the human race exist for a long time".
"Long live the man!" would be an odd thing to say, unless "The Man" is the nickname of a leader of some sort, in which case it would be "Long live The Man!" meaning "May 'The Man' live for a long time"!

How about saying "Long live Jamaicans!"? Or should I say "Long live the Jamaicans!"?
