Would is used after "why" when giving or ​asking the ​reason for something.

Hi,

Are these correct?
And in sentence no 2 and 6 why word "ELSE" is used?

1-Why would anyone ?want to ?eat something so ?horrible = Why does anyone ?want to ?eat something so ?horrible?

2- He came to ?see you. Why ?else would he come = He came to ?see you. Why did he come?

3-Why would he ?run away from the ?scene of the ?crime if he wasn't ?guilty = Why did he ?run away from the ?scene of the ?crime if he wasn't ?guilty?

4-Why would you ?drive, when you could take the ?train = Why did you ?drive, when you could take the ?train?

5-Why would anyone do such a thing = Why does anyone do such a thing?

6-They must have ?split up. Why ?else would he be ?moving out = They must have ?split up. Why was? he ?moving out?

They are all correct. The use of else suggests that the speaker is stating the reason, regardless of the sentence being in the form of a question (of course, the question can still be answered).
