'Would' in real conditionals?

Hi,

Can 'would' be used in real conditional sentences? I would like an example in a real conditional question. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Dear Kalpab, I haven't ever heard that usage of would. Would is often used as an auxiliary with vrbs that refers to unreal or uncertain situations-for example in sentences with if . I would tell you if I knew.

Hi,

We should be beware that while we are following the stiff rules of the grammar book, "would" and "could" are used quite often in daily situations? i.e.

Could you turn on the light for me?

Would you like to take a walk with me?
