Would I Ever?

Hi.
One year Bob and Phyllis went west
for the summer, and Bob asked if I would
“baby-sit” Nordskip while they were gone.
Boy, would I ever! I think it took me all of
two seconds to accept his offer. Betty and I
had a ball sailing the St. Lawrence for the
summer, and did we ever learn how to sail.
1) Can you also say "Boy, wouldn't I ever!" in stead of "Boy, would I ever!"?

2) If it's in the present, should you use "Boy, will I ever!"?

"Are you asking me if I will loan you that much money? Boy, will/would I ever?"

"Are you asking me if I would loan you that much money? Boy, will/would I ever?"

3) Just to confirm, the last line means, "we really learned how to sail," doesn't it?

May I ask you something Can you tell me what this means, I've been reading it, 'm not sure?

The fellow has no appreciation of the value of money.

Is this naturally expressed? What does "know value of money" mean please; I read this?


Our kids don't work so they don't know the value of money.
