Would have+p.p?/ What rights a firstborn~~have had
He would have done that. (Perhaps he did that)
He would have had it. (Perhaps he had it)
Above are the usage of the 'would have +p.p' pattern and interpretation I know.
Q1) Are my interpretations in brakets correct? / Sometimes, I get confused the 'would have done' pattern with the 'should have done' pattern.
3. What rights would a firstborn son have had?
Q2) Is 3 a 'would have +p.p' pattern like 1 and 2?

He would have done so. - this is how I would say it. Your interpretation is wrong.
- He would have done so.
- - this is how I would say it.

- Not perhaps he did that, but he would have done it "if" the condition existed (which never did) in the past.
- Since the condition never existed, he couldn't have done so.

He would have done so. - this is how I would say it. Your interpretation is wrong. Not perhaps he did that, but he would have done it "if" the condition existed (which never did) in the past. Since the condition never existed, he couldn't have done so.
