Dear teacher,
I recently came across a sentence using "would have to have thought" I know it is perfect infinitive but could not able to understand what is the meaning of the sentence below ?
(*) If he knew there were blacks in all the other countries, but he didn't know there were blacks in Brazil, he'd have to have thought Brazil was somehow an exception to the rule.
