Would have had to be Helen Keller

Hi,

I heard this sentence in a conversation, but not sure if it is correct gramatically. Is it correct?

'I would have had to be Helen Keller not to seen have that one coming'

Thanks,

MG.

That is not grammatically correct. In fact, native speakers don't ususally make that kind of mistake, inverting the auxiliary verb and the past participle. Of course, it should be: I would have had to be Helen Keller not to have seen that one coming.

rizzy,

Thanks. Of course, I didn't mean that the speaker said that way. What I wrote was what I remembered from the conversation.
