would have

Suppose, I and Jessica have just been married. And we are talking about the past. Here the conversation goes on,
Jessica: what did you use to do when you were twenty years old?
Me: I used to tease a lots of girls and get beaten. I think you would also have teased boys. Is the use of would have correct? Could you show me the 'would have+ doing' form sentence with the same meaning in a conversation? Please!

It's not definitely incorrect, but it does not seem the most natural thing to say at that point. " "tease a lot of girls" or "tease lots of girls". By "beaten" do you mean "hit"?

  • I can't think of any valid use of "would have + doing" (except in the case that the "-ing" would is a noun, which I don't believe you mean).

It's not definitely incorrect, but it does not seem the most natural thing to say at that point. Something like this would work:

"I expect you used to tease boys, right?"

"tease a lot of girls" or "tease lots of girls". By "beaten" do you mean "hit"? I'm not sure about the use of this word here.

I can't think of any valid use of "would have + doing"

Impossible. After a modal verb and "have", only a past participle is possible. It has to be "would have been doing".

Sorry, somehow I managed to type "-ing" would instead of "-ing" word, thereby garbling the intended meaning.

I used 'would have' to show imagination in the past. Like:

Suppose I am imagining about my dream girl. And I can say,"she would be going to college and enjoying her life now". This sentence is correct with would, right? And this is about the imagination in the present, right? Ands the same like this can't we use 'would have' or 'would have been+doing' to talk about imagination in the p

Is this a real girl who actually exists, but you just don't know what she's doing now, or is it an imaginary girl?

Yes, it's an imaginary girl. In the first sentence I am imagining about dream girl in the present.

In the second sentence with would have been+ doing, I am imagining what she was doing when she was twenty two. Am I correct?

Right, your sentence seems OK for that.
