I'm Japanese new learner of English. And One day, I saw some Japanese man posted a message in English on Japanese bulletin board,
"I am a Japanese general adult man."
(Now, I suppose he meant" I'm an average Japanese adult.")
And some Japanese who saw it began to make fun of him.
"Are you the General? Are you are the Shogun? Have you directed the arms of Japan? Idiot!"
but in this case, I think " General "is not a noun but an adjective.
English errors in Japan often become the target of jokes, but his English mistake is so terrible from English grammatical and meaning standpoint?
Thank you.
It's very rude to mock someone who is trying to learn a new language! Clive

They are very rude and they probably made worse mistakes than that when they were learning English.
saimaru2... but is his English mistakeisso terrible from an English grammatical and
saimaru2"I am a Japanese general adult man."
This is not correct English.
saimaru2(Now, I suppose he meant" I'm an average Japanese adult.")
That is correct.

That's not good. Mistakes are inevitable and common
