Would and will

Hi everyone.
I would like to know, what is the difference and usage between both of these sentences.

Would it be weird if I texted her?
Will it be weird if I text her?

Top answer

Will it be weird if I text her? The first is more hypothetical. The speaker presents the possibility of texting her as more remote than in the second.

Sounds like you are about to text her as you say this.
