I have just read an article from June in Metro newspaper

"Britons are using their smartphones to order cocaine just like they would an Uber taxi, say experts.

Is the present continuous used here to represent a trend?

Does "would" represent a hypothetical situation?

Is "like" a preposition and just an adverb?
