CalifJimEverestCTSThey are both woulds of probability, right?Yes.
CJ
Good morning CJ,
I am back to you with these questions because nobody help me. Here are the sentences.
A: You would think he would’ve helped their parents with moving their stuff to the new apartment yesterday but he didn’t.
B: You would think he would visit his parents once in a while but he doesn’t.
I understand that the first woulds in the sentences are second conditional with implied conditions probably “if somebody asked you” but what about the second bold “would’ve” in sentence A and second bold “would” in sentence B? I don’t think they are woulds of probability. Are they second conditional/third conditional woulds? Thanks.
