Speaker 2: I have never tried that. That would work.

Example 2

Speaker 1: What if we tried to grind wheat in our blender to make flour? I know it sounds ridiculous since blender is used to make smoothies.

Speaker 2: That probably wouldn't work. or That would work.

Isn't would in example 1 "would" of probability? Aren't "wouldn't" and "would" in example 2 conditional woulds?
