Would

A: but a second date? I would, yes.
B: good, good, so would I.

The conversation is done by a couple. they expressed in facial expression and their ton of voice, strong will of seeing each other again, but why have they used would instead will? don't you think it's also more polite to use "will" to respond to the other's date suggestion when at the same time if you want it?
