If he didn't have a job of his own outside the home, he'd be a 'house-husband' or 'stay-at-home dad.' Working, he's just a great catch.

And the man who works outside the home and does nothing at home is... also normal?

So we need a special word to describe the guy who works outside the home and does stuff around the home? That's the abnormal one?

Well, I would have liked to have been a full-time mom. I can't imagine, if you're lucky enough to have a household income that allows one of you not to work (and I know two househusbands, so it's not always the wife), why you would hire someone else to raise your kids. (The ladies who lunch is a song from the musical "Company" if anyone cares.)
