Worry / Care (about) what S V

Don't worry what others think. VS. Don't worry about what others think?

I do not care what they say. VS I do not care about what they say.

Which ones are correct? Or about is optional and there is no meaning difference between them?

What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual in advance!

Hans51 Which ones are correct? Or about is optional and there is no meaning difference between them? I see no difference in meanings, but the first one of the first pair seems a little casual.
