world still heavily relies..

The world still heavily relies on non-renewable fuels for running the vehicles, which is among the causes of the energy crisis. In addition, usage of inefficient methods in vehicles also contribute to the energy crisis.

I'm trying to merge both the sentences in a way so I could write "..among the causes of energy crisis" after stating the actual causes.

Thanks
