Engineering is work/a job/a profession/ a career.

Teaching is work/a job/a profession/ a career.

I am confused about these words. How can I differentiate between them?

Thanks

So teaching and engineering could be work, job and profession. Am I right?

Sure and if you please check them.

I work as a teacher and this is a very tiring job.(I think job is the most appropriate word here.)

This profession needs special qualifications.

Engineering is difficult work.

My career makes me always nervous.

Thanks a lot for help.

I thought that if someone does a job full of stress and for a long time that will result in being nervous and stressful. ( What I understood about career is that it refers to a job which someone does for many years. Thanks
