Worker

Hello.
I once told a forign friend to find me a job as a worker.
He said why asw a worker?you are an engineer, etc.

Isn't 'worker' same as 'employee'?

Usually a "worker" is someone who does physical labor. Also, I hope you asked your friend to find you a job, rather than telling him.

Hi,

People usually speak of themselves as an employee rather than as a worker.

But since an employee is by definition someone who has job just say eg "Please help me to find a job'.
