Hi
Is this sentence natural, especially the phrase work out an equation?
[Context: Worried parents talking about their newly-wed daughter and her husband. The young couple seems to be going through a tough time...]
Mother: At the end of the day, no one can help a situation between husband and wife. They must work out their own equation.
Thanks,
Tom
It's OK, but it requires the reader to think about what you mean by the phrase. Do you mean 'find a way for them to be equal partners'?
