Work in a bank? at a bank?

I saw a phrase work in a bank in a listening script of my exam.

Don't you use I work at a bank more than in a bank?

Ah.. then this applies many things related to job description?

He works in a library/school/university/swimming pool etc,.?

I thought at a ~ is more used because at sounds like broad concept of the building but in sounds like you do some somewhere IN a bank, for example.

Hi,

I wouldn't say 'He works in a swimming pool', because it sounds funny.
