Work experience

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for a work experience placement at Dublin Zoo sometime during the summer.
My name is ...... and I am 16 years old. I will be 17 in March. I am in the beginning of Fifth year at my school Presentation Secondary School Listowel. I hope to do a zoology course after my Leaving Certificate and would love the chance to work in an animal centre especially Dublin Zoo. I have worked with animals for four years as I also volunteer at an animal rescue centre called ........... In Transition Year I did two one week work placements at my local veterinary clinics.
I hope I can get the chance to learn a great deal from this work experience. I have always loved animals and am prepared to do whatever is needed. I think this would be a great opportunity for me to further my knowledge of all animals.
I very much look forward to hearing from you.

I was hoping to do a week work experience in Dublin zoo , I was just wondering whether you got a placement when u applied because I am aware they say they only allow 18 year olds to do work experience in the Dublin Zoo.
