Words/sentences (language?) in preparing an assignment

Hi.

1. Let us assume this is part of an assignment that asks students to write what kind of action he or she is likely to take in a given situation. Is this correct as a given sentence that tells what kind of situation it is (for which the students are to write)?

Situation 1: You are riding the bus and sees an old lady standing near you. -- Could I also use the phrase "in the bus isle" (Does the bus have an isle?)?

Situation 2: You are standing on a line to get your lunch in a cafeteria and another student cuts in in front of you.

2. Should we include English articles in the choices below (to the given question)?

Which of the following is something he/she can use to furnish his/her room?
