Words position

I have questions on how certain words are positioned in a sentence. E.G. Not only will this cause disruption to the system, it leads to higher operating costs too.

I don't understand why I can't put the word "will" this way : Not only this will cause..."

Advice is much appreciated! Thanks

After negatives and "only" the subject and verb of a clause are inverted.

This will cause ... BUT Not only will this cause ...
Susan has never done ... BUT Never has Susan done ...

The addition of a form of do may be necessary.

He never has ... BUT N
